State Officials: Zimmerman Will Be Charged In Trayvon Martin Case

Angela Corey, the prosecutor in the Trayvon Martin shooting case will be announcing today that George Zimmerman will be charged for the murder of the 17 year-old unarmed Tryavon Martin.

This announcement comes a day after both of Zimmerman’s attorneys dismissed the Trayvon Martin case due to a loss of contact with Zimmerman and his unusual behavior.

Both of Zimmerman’s lawyers have expressed that they are worried about Zimmerman’s physical and emotional health, after all, he did make bold moves without consulting either of the attorneys. Lawyers Craig Sonner and Hal Uhrig have also admitted that they have no clue regarding Zimmerman’s whereabouts.

Prosecutor Angela Corey stated that she would not be bringing this tragic case before a grand jury, explaining that a grand jury might not be needed at all to press charges against Zimmerman. She asked the public to understand that her decision in not bringing the case before a grand jury should not be seen as a factor in determining charges.

Zimmerman’s lawyers are still standing by their defense that George Zimmerman acted in defense against an unarmed 17 year-old boy. However, these impressions were made without the lawyers ever meeting the murderer personally.

George Zimmerman claimed that he acted in self-defense under the state’s “stand your ground” law.

It is still unclear what charges Zimmerman will be charged with after the prosecutor attains custody of the murderer.
